Professional Acting Classes

Our professional acting classes are available in Atlanta and New York, and are designed to teach you the crafts of performance art. Following an entrance audition and evaluation, a carefully planned course of study is encouraged for students who are interested in theatre, film, musical theatre, radio, and television. 

Students of Dorsey Studios have an outstanding record in the successful pursuit of their professional goals. Over 95% of the students who have studied four quarters or more work professionally in theatre, musical theatre, film, radio, and television. Dorsey Students continue to appear in Broadway and off-Broadway productions in New York City, as well as regional and local productions, and national touring companies. Many students continue to find and maintain their marketability in television commercials (national, regional, and local), and  as voice-over talent for both on-camera and radio. 

Whether you're just getting started, or an experienced  working actor, Dorsey Studios' acting classes can help you reach your goals.

Musical Theatre Audition

By invitation only. Intensive study to perfect the singing audition. Ms. Dorsey, a Broadway veteran, brings over 30 years of musical theatre experience to help the student use the actor/singer fully. Auditors for this class must be invited, as well.  8-10 week term. Entrance based on student's singing and acting skill level. Ms. Dorsey will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
